One day Dagda had successfully tracked down her prey! A beetle! It was a crafty critter but not as crafty as her. She was getting ready to land her killing blow with a mighty pounce when she heard something coming. Deciding to investigate, she came to find a girl-child walking about. She had seen humans before but never one so tiny! As if she needed more convincing to investigate further, the child produced food! Love at first sight! Every day she meets the girl-child who pats her gently and gives her offerings of food, follows her to the people-den where she makes exchanges with other humans and then back to the forest with the failing light.
